About MeMy Name is Will. I'm a huge skier and baseball player, but when I'm not doing that I'm working with music. I'm a half-way self taught very good drummer and a self taught novice guitarist. Eventually, I would like to learn electric bass and piano too, and I don't think it'll be too hard considering I can already read music. I wish I could say I was a mod, but to be honest, they have enough mods around. I would like to mod the Guitar Techniques forum, but there's already 3 or 4 in there, and they do a pretty good job of getting rid of spam.

Probably the main reason that I'm a decent UGer is because I leave my Pit-like behavior in The Pit. Plus, I normally post in the more helpful, Guitar Techniques forum.

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean. But it's punk, so no one really practices there instruments or anything, they just play what they can. Haha, not even sure if I'm a part of the band anymore, since the drummer is wanting to do a new band with this other drummer (and they are going to do switch bass/vocal and drumming roles).

We play a ton of stuff, it changes for our gigs. Our last gig was at studio 7, so we did mostly our harder rock stuff. Our next show is at a jazz theater/burlesque house apparently, so we'll do mostly blues and jazz. To be honest I love it all, so I have no problem changing my sound for the venues.
ahh, I know. Been busy with the band getting ready for gigs. I need to come on more often

Just look up Audacity (it's free), load up the mp3 in it, and find the command to change the speed. It's GOT to be less painful than rewinding/playing a tape :P

Couldn't you just slow down the track an a program like Cool Edit (what I use) or something? I imagine Audacity could do it somehow.

Interesting. I can think of very few ways in which sheet music notation is easier to comprehend than tablature. Weird groupings (5's and 7's and even triplets would be one). IMHO they basically say the same thing, but tab has all the 'flourishes' taken out. Of course that's just me. But good luck with that anyway!

For the outro, the #'s on the hats would just be closing the hats with your foot, like you're doing for the choruses and bridges. It's a bit hard to make out when it's on the same beat as a crash, but I just assume he's still going with it as he'd have no reason not to.
Either way, I'd completely ignore the hats until you've got the hands down solidly. It's a crazy couple lines of music ;)
I can get close. I've been practicing just the first 4 lines for a week or so now, so I've got that pretty down at around 180-190, and it's passable at 208. The verses aren't too hard if you can do the single foot double kick thing (like heel-toe).
Pre-chorus fill is a little tricky but just a matter of sticking, the chorus is easy enough, the bridge is tricky with the right hand (and that snare-tom-crash-tom roll fill is crazy, can't do that too well yet). And the outro, well that's something else. Again, mostly sticking, but I foresee a good week of practice ahead for that :P It's a good song to learn though - challenging but short and fun, and teaches you a lot. A lot of left hand lead single stroke rolls too.
It does have a certain ring to it ;) But God I hate that guy. Go Djokovic!

Second half we went on a 19-0 run and took the lead. But Akers missed a PAT and we failed to convert the 2-pointer our next score.
Eh; I want to say the refs blew some pass interference calls, but we made too much of a hole for ourselves the first half. I'm a bit pissed, but I actually like both of the teams in the SB. I'm actually disappointed in the results of the AFC game because I can't find a villain in the SB. Might pull against the Cards because they beat us, but the Steelers won the big show just a couple of years ago.
Yeah didn't mean for you to think I ignored it. I think either mhylands or mrm06 had made a bandmate request that took forever for me to figure it out. But now I know to check my profile for messages. :)

Hey; just saw the comment you left me (I admittedly don't check my own profile a lot).
I've been with mx (in the old format) since December of 2001. I was one of the original tabmods they had and one of the first from what became of that site to transfer over here. Some of the people who got modded and were from the old format suggested me/I volunteered when they first started up (I think that's how it happened). Anyhow, I was just sports for a bit, but I got moved to a super later on.
