User Profile For mhylands

My name is Michael Hylands, I have been playing Bass Guitar since September 2004, however I played the Upright Bass before that since 1999. I also play a little bit of 7-string electric guitar (also played Trombone for half a year). I love nu-metal, thrash metal, alternative metal, american metal, heavy metal, 80s rock, melodic death metal, progressivem metal, metalcore and basic hard rock. Music is my life, and if I could have one wish, I would be touring the nation right now!

Currently I go to UCCS where I am studying Mechanical Engineering and am considering minors in Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering and/or Music.

Also, my band is slowly getting worked out, Deflycsiun. It took long enough, but we're finally getting a full 5-piece set up, and with that's we'll have incentive to record some things. Check out the myspace page, add us.

I could not put myself up to going into a recording session without at least practicing for a day or memorizing the score for guitar/piano/bass.

Damn I wish I had the money for a five string right now.

Oh, I just remembered, literally five minutes after I joined this site, when you friended me, I actually thought you might be obsessed with me. Then I thought I might know you because of the bandmate request email, since I actually thought bandmates meant, well, we were in the same band. Haha, you scared me off the site for a couple days, then I came to my senses then started to get hooked.

I listened to Anarclitz, and it wasn't bad, but as drums are my main instrument, the drumming ruined it.

yeah, i wish i was that far, im still taking physics in HS, granted im taking it on my own time learning out of a nice little Serway, but still. and im actually very surprised, so far it seems as though i'm better at the ElectroMagnatizm, rather than the Mecanics part, kinda odd since i dont like it as much

I got the Ibanez XPT707FX
for only $699.99 with free shipping from a music store in my town who said they will beat any price on anything that I want to purchase. I got the Ibanez XPT707FX brand new. from any other company this guitar in blem is the same price. couldn't pass up a kill deal + that guitar kicks ass, the d activator pups are very pure in tone almost equal to my emg 85/81 activator pups and the "Gray Chameleon" paint with A neck through body, this guitar is my new chosen axe, I haven't even touched any of my others since I got it.
