a hammer on is simple     






h = hammer on






strike any note eg below

now a hammer on is when you hit any not and then with out striking 
the string again just press onto the string with your fing as hard
as you can.so if it was 7 it would be like this

so real all you need to remember is dont strike the string just
press down on it real fast and hard
