The other tabs had the right notes, but the only way to get the real sound and speed of the riff as well as the Eddie Van Halen-esque feel of it is to use tapping. Some of the hammer-ons are a bit of a stretch but you'll get over it!

If you're familiar with the idea of tapping, scroll down for the tab. For those of you not familiar with tapping, the idea is to sound the note by tapping the string with the index or middle finger on your RIGHT hand. When you tap the string, think more about tapping the fingerboard than the string itself. Remember, you need to hit the string with enough force to cause the string to vibrate from a standing start. As you release the string, pull your finger down slightly to flick the string (The friction between the string and your finger allows you to do this). This sounds the second note.
For example, for the first part of the riff you need to have your left hand index finger on the 7th fret of the B string (2nd string) ready for the second and 4th notes. You tap at the 15th fret to sound the first note and as you release your finger pull slightly down to pluck the string, sounding the note at the 7th fret. Then hammer-on at the 12th and pull off to the 7th again. Repeat this pattern for the 4 sections of the riff and you're set!!
