Solo: on this first 2 notes bend down whole step, in other words pre-bend the note up 1 whole step and then release tension on the string, vibrato here, quick pick and pull here, bend ½ step on twelfth fret first time u play it, then near end of solo bend up 1 whole step the second time u play fret 20 on b string, lastly on last note of solo bend up 1 whole step.

he is also drop d tuned tso your tuning is d-a-d-g-b-e and he uses a flanger also, you need to work on this some more the 3 "vanhalen"chords are

these are moveable, van haln writes his songs in a minor pentatonic with a flatted 5th, "blues" and i hope this help you guys
