I think you'll find the part that you have said is played on two timbales is actually played on two roto-toms.

Play that just 9 times for the start and you're done. i know that this start is right...coz i've checked the book...it a good book too

It is not played on toms, nor on timbales, nor on roto-toms. It is played on mini tymps (I hope I spelled it correct. Otherwise, look for them on www.tama.com).
