Artist: Mudvyane
Song: Death blooms
Tabbed by Frosty

The tuning is from lowest(sounding) to highest is B, F#, B, E
Note: Everything on 3rd and 4th strings (as in B and E) is a pop.
And ( x ) means mute the string and slap it or pop it.

Intro
-----------------
-----------------
-----------------
-3-2-2-3-2-2-2-0-

Second riff (couldn’t think of a better name)
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
-0-7-8-0-7-8-0-7-8-0-5-0-3-5-2-0-

This is that quick riff you play once between the second riff and the verse, you also play it just after the verse.
----------------
----------------
----------------
0-3-2-0-3-5-0-2-

Verse (play this when the guitar stops, when the guitar plays Ryknow just mutes his B string and slaps it but it still sounds good without it)
---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
-3-2-3-2-0-2-3-2-0-2-

The part where kud goes (Pull me out of body don't want it)
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
-3-2-2-3-2-2-3-2-2-3-2-2-3-2-0-2-

Play the quick riff again once before going back into the verse
Then again after the verse, then you have to play the second riff through once rather than four times and then into the chorus

Chorus
-----7------7------5-----5----3-----------------------------------
---7---7--------5---5---------------------------------------------
-5-------5----3-------3----1--------------------------------------
----------------------------------0-7-8-0-7-8-0-7-8-0-5-0-3-5-2-0-

….. then
-----7------7------9-----9-------15---------------------------------------
---7---7--------9---9---------15------------------------------------------
-5-------5----7-------7----13------13-------------------------------------
------------------------------------------0-7-8-0-7-8-0-7-8-0-5-0-3-5-2-0-

Play those two together through twice
Then there is a small break, then the bass and drums come in together playing this

-------7---x----x---7---7-
-------8------------7---7-
--------------------------
-0-3--0---x--x-x--x-------

Keep on playing that until it changes to this

-----------------------------------------10-10-
-----------------------------------------10-10-
-----------------------------------------------
-3---2-0-2-0-2-3---3-2-0-2-3---3-2-0-2-0-------

Then changes back to the riff before it until and stops and does this

-7---5---4----------------------7---9---12-
--------------------------------7---9---12-
-5---3---2---------------------------------
------------3-0-0-3-0-0-3-0-0-3------------

Play that for three times I think and then stop doing the pops and just play this

---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
-3-0-0-3-0-0-3-0-0-3-

Then play that same riff but with an extra bit on the end

-----------------------------5-
-----------------------------3-
-------------------------------
-3-0-0-3-0-0-3-0-0-3-0-0-3-0---

Then when the drumming slows down you play basically the same riff with a few changes, this riff is all slapping and popping.
-----------------------5-
-----------------------3-
-------------------------
-3-0-0-0-3-0-3-0-0---0---

Then you play the same riff but the pops start to go up

First time
------------------------10-
------------------------10-
---------------------------
-3-0-0-0-3-0-3-0-0---0-----

Second time
-----------------------12-
-----------------------12-
--------------------------
-3-0-0-0-3-0-3-0-0---0----
Third time
---------------------14-
---------------------14-
------------------------
-3-0-0-3-0-3-0-0---0----

then you go back into other riff where kud goes (pull me out of body)
and then back into the chorus

Then right at the end the riff goes

----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
-0---0---0---0----0-2-3-2-0---0---0---0-0-3-2-0-3-5-0h2h3-

Just keep playin that until the song ends
You end on this chord on your top two strings

-5-
-3-

That’s it

Hi, Okay everyone, I'm going around and I'm gonna put an end to the Mudvayne tuning controversy.

1) In L.D. 50, he uses a 5 string tuned to:

E

B

F#

B

B

he slaps the 5th (tighter) string and plays on the 4th (looser) string. This I am certain because on the Dig DVD you can clearly see he does this. And I saw them live in Madison and he varies with a 4 and 5 string on various LD 50 songs.

2) They do play all their songs in drop C live (at least from the peoria DVD on)

and 3)

Their new album is in drop C and when they play live he does vary again between 4 and 5 strings on the new album songs too.

So this means he tunes his 4th and 5th strings the same.

THX for the read
