I haven't really check out the song to much, but I just want to ask why is it half a step down when you don't even hit an Eb??? Just keep it in standard tunning and play it a note higher

it's because the entire album is in Eb (besides The Leaving Song) and it would be pointless to just play this in standard and then tune to Eb to play the other songs when you could just stay in Eb.
